I’m not into cars or vehicles (that much). My excuse is that at 6’7″ I just don’t fit into too many of them.
But like most men I do have a wanderlust and dream of exploring far away places. Earth Roamer has to be the coolest – most expensive (north of a quarter million bucks) camper/pick-up truck ever made. At that price I don’t see myself behind the wheel of one anytime soon! I wonder what a used one goes for (eBay?)?
But there are three reasons to blog about this website:
- There is a great section with stories about driving through places like Central America
- There is a great wildlife photography section of images shot by the Earth Roamer owner
- The photo equipment page has a great statement that I’d like to quote here:
“Vision – It reaches beyond the thing that is, into the conception of what can be. Imagination gives you the picture. Vision gives you the impulse to make the picture your own.”
Robert Collier
UPDATE January 2008: I just checked back… they have a couple of used Earth Roamers for sale, for about $175k. Now if each of you 175,000 readers would step up to the plate and send in your portion… I might have one of these huge fossil fuel burning monsters for myself!
